Fun Weekend in San Diego

This weekend we had a quick trip to Legoland and San Diego. It was a lot of fun. I took Bridget and Quinn and My Friend Diana and her daughter (Quinn's best friend Nadja) came, along with my Niece Sophie (I invited her to come along because she turned the Big 10! yesterday!) We got up early on Saturday and made it to Carlsbad and our hotel in about 7 1/2 hours with one stop! Yeah Me...We went into Legoland for about 3 1/2 hours that day (we could upgrade our tickets for an extra day for 1 dollar!).
After Legoland we drove about 30 minutes to Diana's sister's house, her husband is a Marine stationed in San Diego. We had some pizza and Diana was able to visit with her and see her two nephews and niece. On the way back to the Hotel we drove by the San Diego Temple, it really is beautiful. We took a few pictures (the security guard took the best one) and then drove back to the Hotel for and early night.
We spent the entire next day at Legoland and had a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed the rides and the weather was really warm by midday so it was nice to spend a day in the sunshine. Quinn was even brave enough to do the knights tournament ride upside down, which his big brother didn't think he would do! It was a fun day and the kids loved finding all of the Santa's in mini land. They ended the day playing with the mind storm Lego's which they all really liked. It was funny because Bridget and Sophia were the best in the group!
On Monday we woke up to sweet sunshine so after a shower and a big breakfast at the hotel we headed to the beach for a while to play before we drove home all day! We met my sister in Lodi to drop off the Birthday girl with her mom and we were home before 8! The kids spent family night watching Little People Big World with dad, who had stayed home to hear a missionary speak before he leaves, and to go shooting at the range on Saturday, and of course work on Monday. We think he enjoyed his quiet weekend! Now we start the decorating today only 5 trees to go!
