And The Winner Is?

Today was a great day for Kelly and Quinn. He repeated as PineWood Derby Champ. It was a fun night and his great car was really fast... Also it helps when your home teacher works for Pixar and is an artist and helps you paint your car!

On a lighter note it was a good weekend this weekend, we had a few events and they were fun times. Bridget, Quinn, Kelly and I enjoyed the sunshine on Saturday and did some pre race shopping and went out to breakfast! Quinn and I rested a lot after our minor Auto Accident on Thursday! We were sitting still at the light someone lost control and hit the side of our car. Good news is after a few adjustments Quinn and I should be up to par. And although there is damage o the car it is drivable and doesn't look too bad at first glance.

The most significant part of this weekend was the Sunday night passing of our beloved Prophet and President of our church Gordon B. Hinckley. I loved to listen to him and I have reread many of his works these last two days. He was the only President of the church since I was baptized and also for any of my kids. So we look forward to the exciting change knowing that President Hinckley has gone home to his beloved Marjorie after being apart for the last few years. We will miss him his quick wit and sense of humor. I am sure it was said to him, "Well done thy Good and Faithful Servant!"

January Has Come and Is Almost Gone!

Wow! I do not know what happened to the first month of 2008! We started back to school! I work about 3 and 1/2 hours a day at Bridget and Quinn's school. Also I teach on Wednesday morning science in Bridget's class and Thursday morning social studies in Quinnie's class, I really love it, this month I am doing Mount Rushmore and Earth quakes! Jeff has been busy working, if you didn't already know Jeff came home a few months ago and would like to return but he has a reoccurring physical problem and we are waiting to see if he will have surgery, if he does he probably will not be able to go back out! His heart is still with the Latin people of South Florida as I imagine it will be for a long time to come. He starts college tomorrow, he figured he better fill in his time... Kelly is having a really busy time at work, which is good and bad, we did a get a chance to have a wonderful night at the Oakland temple before they closed for a few weeks. Quinn will try to repeat as Pine Wood Derby champ! His race is on January 29Th, not to be outdone by the boys our Activity Day girls are racing on February 12Th, Bridget says she can do it too! I cannot believe how fast they grow, I have been through it with Jeff but it just seems faster this time. Well we hope everyone is off to a great New Year we love you all! Okay someday my pictures won't be sideways too! But Enjoy Quinns picture! This was after he won last year!
