January is whizzing by!

What the heck happened! January is almost over! We have been so busy with school and extra curricular stuff that the month has whizzed by! We had a little day trip this past weekend to go and see some California historical sites for the Fourth grade curriculum (California Missions) we went to San Rafael and San Fransisco De Asis or Mission Dolores. One of the exciting parts of the day was Bridget noticed there were 7 Bridget's buried in the cemetery next to the mission, it was in the Irish section of San Fransisco and after the church became a regular Catholic church many Irish Families attended church there. My mom was baptized Catholic there. So that was pretty cool, Quinn thought it was cool because it is the oldest building in San Fransisco! Then we stopped off and did some window shopping at Ikea. We are going back to the City for the Chinese New Year, I have never thought the kids were old enough but they are now! And we have had great weather and have been getting in a daily bike ride, Bridget and Quinn are still bike challenged so all the practice is good! Today I was able to plan out Activities for my Activity Day girls till August! And tomorrow Quinn will be working on some Webelo activities and Piano, maybe that is why one day roles into the next! Anyway speaking of rolling on it is time to go make dinner!

How is my baby 10!

Wow I got a Smile!
Blowing out Candles!

Ummm Good! Talking to Grandma and licking the batter at the same time!

Today is the day 10 years ago about lunch time I went to the hospital and they sent me home said "I wasn't in Labor!" It sure felt like labor! Then a few hours later about 15 minutes after pulling up to the hospital out came our Quinlan! We were so anxious for him to come here. We knew he was a boy and we were so excited! We had a scare during my pregnancy and thought he might not make it here! That is why we picked his name it means the Hearth of the Home, The Warmth! Quinn (or Quinnie, or Quinnie the Pooh, which I am not allowed to call him anymore!) has added more warmth and love to our home then we could of ever imagined! He is a valiant young man, I know he is truly part of the "Army of Heleman" and that his character is strong. He loves his friends and his family and I am so very blessed to call him my son! We love you Quinnie, Happy Birthday!

Wow I can't believe it's over!

My nephew Ed, Sister In Law Deki, Erin, Kat, Sophia, Jeff and Me
Kathleen Opening her Quilt!

The Calm before the Storm!
Quinn, Bridget and Jeff in their Christmas Jammies...

I think this happens every Christmas! We spend weeks getting ready for it and then it is gone! I think that is why I always get a little sad that it passes so fast. We had a really nice Christmas eve and Christmas day though! We went out to dinner on Christmas eve after Jeff got off from work, we looked at some lights on the way home and then went home to open some presents (Well jammies!). Our Friend Diana went with us and we had a fun time! We were up too late though and almost missed Santa! But he must have come late because when Quinn woke up at six int he morning there were presents under the tree! We had a nice morning with our traditional cinnamon rolls and bacon and OJ. We then got ready to go to Erin's for Christmas with family (Aunt Kathleen and her family, Uncle Bob and Aunt Deki, Cousin Ed, and Aunt Erin and some of her husbands family!) The highlight for me was opening presents (well at least when Kat and Erin opened their presents from me! I made quilts for them from old dresses that my mom wore. I didn't expect them to cry or me to cry like we did but it was a sweet moment and we knew mom and dad were with us!) We brought Stacey home with us and picked up Casey on the way home. We then opened more presents and were off to bed! (It was way after midnight!) On Friday I spent the morning getting new decorations and lights for next year at the sales! Then when I came home we all went to see "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler it was a great movie we all just loved it! (Especially Jeff). We then came home and fixed a big dinner for everyone and our Sister Missionaries, Casey and Stacey, and our Friend Diana joined us, it was fun to cook a holiday dinner since I only made part of it the day before. Afterwards we took in the lights at Candy Cane lane. I think we will spend the rest of the weekend playing video games and eating leftover goodies! Hope everyone else had wonderful memories!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to All! We are so excited to have the Holidays once again. It is such a special time with family and friends. It is time when we remember the ones who have gone before us too! I miss my mom so much at this time of year. I can relate and wish I was more thankful to all of the long hours she put in, wrapping presents, baking and cooking. I now know why her Christmas cards were always late! We will be spending time with my sisters and older brother and the kids are all excited about that! Our family has grown a lot this year. Kathleen's family has more then doubled, she has three new girls and one new boy! Oh yea and a great new guy too! Bobbie, Tracy and Julie all had little boys this year too. On Thanksgiving we found out that Brian and Didi would be adding to the Weaver Cousin's next year. (Bridget is hoping for a girl after all of the boys this year!) We have a busy week as our little one turns 10 on Sunday, I always remind him that his birthday is at such a special time of the year. I can't believe he is double digits! He still has a splint on from his arm he broke his wrist on December 12Th (He convinced Bridge that he needed to sleep in her bed because his was too small and he would bump his cast! So Jeff snapped the picture above. I am so glad that they are such good friends, as a matter of fact she was the first one on his birthday party list!) We saw the Tales of Desperaux for his birthday with 10 friends it was a lot of fun and the movie was great! Bridget is becoming quite the baker and gift wrapper, and I know she is my daughter because at 11 Santa is still as real as ever! Jeff has been busy at work (grocery store/Christmas!) He is glad that finals are done and he has a few weeks off from school. Kelly has a four day weekend and we are looking forward to playing video games and enjoying each others company! Merry Christmas to one and all!
