Monday Morning

We have been back to school since August fourth and I still do not like Monday Mornings! We had a good weekend, had a ladies night out, got to scrapbook with a friend and also we had the Coast and Creek Cleanup (Kelly and Quinn found a hundred dollar bill in the creek!) It was a good weekend. Today I am going to a funeral with Jeff, so I know it will be a hard day. Ever since my dad's death we have lost several friends and it never gets easier, although I am thankful for the knowledge of what happens after death. Well here is hoping that the week flies by and that is Friday Morning soon!

The Ones Who Go Before Us

It is inevitable for most of us that our parents will go before us...At least that is the way it is intended in most cases. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose one of my children, but I have lost both of my parents. Right after I lost dad, mom became very ill and her dementia advanced, but I am so grateful for the last six months of her life that she spent her with me and my family. I am thankful for my son Jeff and how he took care of his grandma. I am thankful for my sisters who helped with this also. There was a show that aired right after my dad died and they talked about "The Dead Dad's Club", a little morbid I know. But what they said was so true, it is so much easier when you have lost a parent to comfort those that are going through it, they know you understand. My friend, and VT companion lost her mom last night, she was way too young and also a member of our church congregation, the first person I met at church, the first person to say Hello and Welcome! Her daughter is an amazing girl So that tells me what kind of women she was! It just brings all of the tears back for my mom! I know what is ahead for her(my friend) and I know it gets easier but then there are morning like this morning when 18 plus months later all you want to do is cry! And it is okay to cry it really does help!!!!

Catching up With The Year!

We have had many fun family times this year! We have also had many new nieces and nephews born in the last year and a half. Below are some of our family highlights and a slide show of all of our new nieces and nephews (actually some great nieces and nephews!). We just returned from a wonderful quick trip to Utah and it was great! We were able to meet the latest member of our family, Baby Jacob Lee born on September the third. We also were able to attend Kaitlyn's Baptism which was so wonderful. We also visited with Julie and her kids since they were there from Arizona. Bridget and Quinn really enjoyed seeing all of their cousins and we can't wait until the next visit when we meet Baby Ruttenbur, Bobbie and Donny's new baby! PS. Quinn has a new nickname I typed his name on his train ticket as Quinkan! We all know that Quinn Can do anything, though!!!!

We should have lots of Pictures this fall and can't wait to catch up with everyone!
